Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information Principle collects, how we use it and the choices you have. Principle is operated by OpenBabylon Inc., a Delaware corporation doing business as FuturePrinciple (“Principle,” “we,” “us”). It covers our website at futureprinciple.com, the Principle web app and MCP service (the “Services”), and our business communications, events and advertising.
If you have questions, email us at legal@futureprinciple.com.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you contact us, book a meeting, sign up for updates, register for an event or create an account, we collect what you provide: your name, work email, company, job title and anything you write to us.
Customer content. Our customers upload company data, documents and prompts to run simulations in the Services. We process that content on the customer’s behalf and under our agreement with them. The customer controls it, and this policy doesn’t govern how they use it.
Usage and device information. When you use the website or the Services we automatically collect basic technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring site, and the date and time of your visit. In the Services we also log account activity and errors so we can run, secure and improve the product.
Cookies and similar technologies. Our website doesn’t use advertising pixels or third-party tracking cookies. If that changes, we’ll update this policy first.
Business contact information from other sources. We sell to companies, so we collect professional contact details (name, title, company, work email, LinkedIn profile) from public sources, professional networks, event organizers and business data providers. We use them to reach people whose work relates to what we do.
2. How we use information
- To provide, maintain, secure and improve the Services
- To respond to you, schedule meetings and deliver what you asked for
- To send you business communications, product updates and event invitations, which you can opt out of at any time
- To run and measure our advertising, including showing ads on LinkedIn and other platforms to people at companies we want to reach
- To understand how our Services are used
- To protect against fraud, abuse and security incidents, and to comply with the law
We don’t use customer content to train AI models.
3. How we share information
We don’t sell personal information for money. We share it only in these cases:
- Service providers who work for us under contract: cloud hosting and infrastructure, AI model providers, analytics, email and calendar tools, CRM and sales tools, and payment processing. They can only use the data to provide their service to us.
- Advertising platforms. We may upload lists of companies, or hashed contact details, to platforms like LinkedIn so we can show ads to the right audience. Under some US state laws this counts as “sharing” for advertising. See section 6 to opt out.
- Legal reasons, when required by law or to protect our rights, users or the public.
- Business transfers, if Principle is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
- With your consent, or at your direction.
4. How long we keep it
We keep personal information as long as we need it for the purposes above. Account data is kept for the life of the account and deleted or anonymized within 90 days after it closes, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. Customer content is handled as set out in the customer agreement.
5. Security
We protect data with encryption in transit and at rest, access controls with multi-factor authentication, and network protections. No system is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
6. Your rights and choices
- Emails. Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or write to us.
- Access, correction and deletion. You can ask us for a copy of your personal information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.
- Opt out of sharing for advertising. You can ask us not to share your information with advertising platforms. We also honor the Global Privacy Control browser signal.
- California and other US states. Residents of California and other states with privacy laws have the rights above and the right not to be discriminated against for using them. You can use an authorized agent.
- EEA and UK. We process personal information to perform a contract, for our legitimate interests in running and marketing a business-to-business service, with your consent, or to meet legal obligations. You can also object to processing, restrict it, ask for data portability, withdraw consent and complain to your local data protection authority.
To use any of these rights, email legal@futureprinciple.com. We’ll verify your request and respond within the time the law requires.
7. International transfers
We’re based in the United States. Members of our team and our service providers work in other countries too, so they may access or process data outside the United States. When we transfer personal information from the EEA or UK, we use legal safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
8. Children
Our website and Services are for businesses and aren’t directed to children under 16. We don’t knowingly collect their personal information.
9. Changes to this policy
We’ll post any changes on this page and update the date at the top. If the changes are significant, we’ll give more notice, such as an email to account holders.
